Enjoy a movie in the parks across Lehigh Valley! Hollywood stars and characters return to Lehigh Valley skies this summer, as Movies in the Parks bring big-screen entertainment to local parks across Lehigh Valley.
From classics of the Golden Age of Hollywood and retro childhood favorites, to the best family-friendly box office favorites from recent years, you'll be sure to enjoy the screen under the stars. All movies begin at dusk. Check the individual Facebook pages for daily listings and weather-related cancellations.

Lehigh Valley Free Summer Music Series

The region is awash in free music, from downtown twilight concerts to picnic in the park presentations. In Allentown, experience Rock the Walk every Thursday at ArtsWalk Pocket Park from 4 to 9 p.m.; or check out Live at the Falls on Thursday nights at Scott Park in Easton. Head to the patio at The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley on select Saturdays from 1–4 p.m

Summer camps at Bethlehem’s The Art Establishment include bookmaking, pottery, candle making and more, but special mention goes to the Design a Dollhouse Camp where kids ages 6–13 can exercise their inner interior designer with a dollhouse in need of paint, décor and furniture!

2. Hot Glass Encounter

The transformation of supple molten glass into solid, crystalline pieces is one kids can experience firsthand at Warner Art Glass Center in Whitehall. The Hot Glass Encounter pairs kids one-on-one with a glassblower to walk them through the creation of a flower, heart or other shape. Parents are welcome to attend, help out a younger participant and take impressive pictures of the process.

Week-long summer camps for grades K through nine at the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown inspire curiosity and creativity with a huge range of subjects.
The Art Establishment, Warner Art Glass Center, the Da Vinci Center, Northampton Community College and Nurture Nature Center are all offering unique and creative things for kids to do this summer. Offering take-home kits, online options or small class sizes, the area’s arts and learning centers are determined to offer an incredible range of opportunities to create and explore. Every kid’s inclinations will find an outlet this summer!

Teaming up with Black Rocket’s STEAM curriculum, they’re offering activities this summer in Fortnite-style game development, YouTube content creation and Minecraft engineering.

Let your appetite carry you through Lehigh Valley, stopping at notable farmers’ markets and farm stands in the region. From locally grown produce to specialty drinks, crafts and decor, you can shop for hours. Browse the Easton Farmers' Market, the nation’s oldest continuously operating open-air market in Centre Square, or visit the historic Allentown Fairgrounds Farmers Market which features over 60 vendors. Where to Pick Your Own Fruit

Summer is full of bright colors - the trees are awash in green and blues sweep across the skies for miles. Along with those colors come the freshest fruits & vegetables, all in season and ripe for picking. Before you head to the grocery store to stock up, consider paying a visit to one of these local pick-your-own farms, each offering the chance to head out to the fields and stock up on summer's sweetest treats.

Grim's Orchards (9941 Schantz Rd., Breinigsville)
Though they may be best known for their fall festival, Grim's offers plenty of fun throughout the summer months as well. Visitors can enjoy picking their own strawberries (end of May/beginning of June–end of June) and cherries (mid June–mid July) during the warmer months, plus apples (mid August–mid November) and pumpkins (September–November) when fall rolls around. New this year is the addition of Pick Your Own potatoes, sweet potatoes, and vegetables, which will launch in Summer 2021. Pre-picked berries and cherries are also available at their roadside market.

Seiple Farms (5761 Nor Bath Blvd, Bath)
Family owned since 1889, Seiple Farms offers a variety of seasonal pick your own options. In early June, you'll be able to pick your own strawberries, shelling peas, sugar snap peas, and snow peas. In the fall, September–October, head to Seiple's to pick your own pumpkins, gourds, and squash.

9 Ways to Cool Off This Summer in LV

From tubing, kayaking and paddleboarding to river tours and discovery programs, there's no shortage of water fun to be had.
The Farmers’ Almanac is calling for a sizzling, sultry, steamy, sweltering summer this year. If it’s getting crowded at the community pool, find refreshing relief with these activities on one of the area’s rivers, lakes, water parks or, even, underground!
Conveniently located in Easton, Twin Rivers Tubing sends you down the Delaware with the lowest effort imaginable. Splash, dip and drift like a leaf down the river! Or choose kayaking, canoeing or rafting options for more action. Tubes come complete with cupholders and tethers so you can keep your friends and a cold drink close at hand.
Folks plying their lures on a shaded bank is a quintessential summer sight on days too hot to do much more than sit. With tributaries like the Little Lehigh, Monocacy Creek and Saucon Creek, the Lehigh River is rich with spots to cast a rod. Further afield, Jacobsburg Park’s Bushkill Creek is stocked for excellent trout fishing.
This less gnarly version of surfing is accessible to all ages, without requiring waves. With challenging PaddleFit fitness classes, Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga sessions and sunset paddle tours on Lake Nockamixon, Miss Melanie Yoga serves up so many ways to overbalance into cool, refreshing water.

L.L.Bean store at The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley host classes to start you off on the right oar. Mostly held at Lake Nockamixon, L.L.Bean’s Discovery lessons include paddle boarding, kayaking and even fly fishing with experienced experts.
Open to the public since 1930, the paved and handrailed pathways trace a 30–45-minute subterranean tour, particularly impressive to youngsters. The space known as the Crystal Chapel was once used as a ballroom, keeping dancers cool in a naturally air-conditioned environment.
